  1. Kit Donation to Koch Goma Secondary School

    Recently Lauren from Bond Timber went to Uganda on a trip run by Edukid. Whilst there they got to meet and work with Koch Goma Primary and Secondary School students, run activities and hear stories from past and present students. Plymouth Argyle were kind enough to donate some kit that went to Koch Goma Secondary football team, and to a family the group visited which was massively appreciated.

  2. Swimming success for WH Bond boss raises £6,670 for Marie Curie

    On July 30th Alison Bond took part in a Marie Curie charity swim event, from Padstow to Rock. Alison raised an incredible amount of £6,670 for Marie Curie, the largest single donation made from the swim.   3. Bicton International Horse Trials; Bond Timber CCI 2* S Class​

    Flo and Sydney made their way to Bicton to capture the thrilling moments of the Bond Timber CCI 2* S class. They had the opportunity to interview the winner Dani Evans, Allegra Cowley, who secured the 7th position, and Harriet Blair, who finished 8th.   5. BALI National Landscape Awards

    We are delighted to announce at WH Bond we have won two BALI National Landscape awards! One for Soft Landscaping Construction (non-domestic) over £500k for Kilhallon flood embankment. And another for hard landscaping construction (non-domestic) over £500k for Kilhallon Redi – Rock. Our construction team put a lot of time and effort into these projects, and we are all very proud to know it’s paid off.

  8. FG1/ FG2 Fencing and Sheep Netting Grant

    The FG1 Fencing Grant is a scheme available for countryside stewardship, aimed at assisting with livestock control, protecting environmental features, and preserving habitats. At Bond Timber, we proudly supply gold treated stakes that meet the HSE-approved industrial wood preservative, complying with Use Class 4 as defined in BS8417:2014 'Preservation of Wood - Code of Practice', which is a requirement for the grant. We have two treatment vessels dedicated to treating all our tanalised timber. Our gold treated stakes are specifically chosen for this scheme and are made of high-quality pine. Prior to applying our gold treatment, they are dried to a moisture content of 28% or below. This treatment ensures a 30-year service life, surpassing the industry standard. Our gold standard treatment is set at double the strength of UC4, which is essential for ground contact. The timber undergoes a 5-hour treatment process in the tank, compared to the standard 1.5 hours. This extended treatment duration

  10. Caradon Swim Club

    Recent updates-  Team Caradons masters attended a Devon masters open meet, which was the first competition of the new season. They managed to do an amazing job and brought home plenty of medals, 18 gold and 3 silver! Well done to Jess after qualifying for her first set of national finals. Caradon swimming club is also attending Two Counties Spring Open Meet in 2024.
